Road Trip to Omaha

Since we won't be making anymore trips to Des Moines this week for baseball, we promised the kids we would go do something while daddy was off work. We thought of going to Arnolds Park for the day, but they wanted to go spend the night in a hotel. So off to Omaha we went. The kids did well in the car, but Kyle gets antsy so we have to find ways to keep him entertained. He loves it when I pull out the camera and snap pictures, then he takes them off all of us and everything else he can. I will spare you all the photos he took! We headed out around 11:30 and got to Omaha around 2:30pm after a lunch stop. We stated at the Holiday Inn that has CoCo Keys water park inside it. It was a good choice, the kids loved it!
We swam and played the rest of the afternoon. Kyle and Jack likes the lily pad cross. There are ropes up above you hold onto and walk across. Kyle can't reach, so he crawled. After several attempts and watching the bigger kids, Jack make it across by running and not holding onto the ropes, he was so excited. I didn't get a picture of him however. I was in the water the entire time and only grabbed a few pictures.

And what a surprise, Katie was in town staying with Aunt Kerry and Uncle Glenn. I called them as we were on our way to tell them what we were doing and crazy enough, they had just walked into CoCo Keys to spend the day there. So we got to spend the day with them. We couldn't have planned this if we wanted to, what luck! Kayden and Katie loved the lazy river you drifted around on.
After we got done swimming we all went to the Amazing Pizza Machine for supper and to play games and ride some rides.
Kayden and Katie rode the fast moving ride that goes around and around in a big circle. Glad I didn't have to go on it!
Jack shooting some hoops with daddy.
Kyle and Jack on their favorite ride, the Frog Hopper.
After we used up all our rides and games, we headed back to the hotel. Kayden wanted to go back to the water park, but it closed at 8pm and we got back at 7:50pm. The hotel had another indoor pool that was open until 10pm so we went swimming there. It was a nice big pool with walk in entry so perfect for Kyle. We swam and swam until there were wore out. Needless to say, didn't take long for them to crash!
