Jack's First T-Ball Game

Jack had his very first t-ball game tonight. He was excited to play a "real" game. However he can't understand why they don't keep score. He is on the KCHE bright orange team, not hard to miss him! He wears his Cherokee Braves hat because of course, he is a Brave. We put his name on his shirt and he wanted the number 9.....any guesses on who's number that could be? I was just glad he didn't ask me why it didn't say Ege instead of Waldner.
His team took the field first. He played right field the first inning and I don't believe he got a ball to him. He played catcher the second inning and not too exciting there. Finally the third inning he played 1st base and he got lots of action and did amazing! The very first ball was hit right to him. He stopped it and ran right to his base! He did a great job and was always looking over the fence at us to make sure we saw him.
He got to hit the ball the three times too. He is a lefty, first time he picked up a bat he hit that way and we haven't changed it. He had a good hit the first time. Second time wasn't too hot, this is the picture I got too, not too good. He barely hit it off the tee and they told him to run, you could tell he wanted another chance. And he did the third inning, he knocked it out to the outfield. He was so excited!
Running his hardest to first base. I was shocked at how fast he ran. In soccer he kind of just jogged, but he ran fast tonight!
End of the game, telling the other team Good Job! He and his team did a great job for their first game. He had lots of fun and did his best and that's all that matters. It will be fun watching him play this summer.
Well, maybe not everyone will think it is fun. We are watching the game and turned around and there sits Kyle on the hill, facing away from the game. Not sure what he was doing, but it sure was cute. Maybe he just realized his birthday was over and we won't get presents at every ball game! :)
