After Jack's ball game, we headed to the other field to watch Charlie's game. He was catching this time. He did a great job as always. He works real hard behind the plate!
Ready to throw it down.
When we got to the game it was the 3rd inning and they were losing and were down by 7 at one point. But I knew they had a come back in them. Charlie started off the inning, first batter. He walks up to the plate, gets ready and drops a bunt. Shocked everyone! Even the other team. He made it to first and they over threw it so he got to second. That got everyone pumped up! They had a great rally going.
The next time Charlie got up to bat he had a great hit over the short stops head and knocked in two runs to tie it up. He made it all the way to 3rd base, 2 outs, game tied. Do they dare send Charlie on a pass ball to win it?
Unfortunately he didn't steal home and the batter struck out. So we played an extra inning and Charlie's team WON! It was a fun and exciting game to watch. Good job Charlie Briggs!
