So the sun decided to shine on Sunday so after church, we ate a quick lunch and headed over to Storm Lake to try the boat out before it gets stored till next summer. Jeff and dad went over early to get it in the water and make sure everything was working. G'ma Sally and I brought the kids over and when we got there the boat was in the water, but with a dead battery. Luckily G'pa Chuck came prepared with jumper cables, we got it charged and started and we were off! It was a little windy, notice Kayden's hair!
The wind didn't bug us, we were having too much fun! Actually at times, the wind would die down and the sun would beat down on us and it would feel great! Except for when the water would splash up into the boat and onto us, it was a little cold and the kids didn't really like that too well. But otherwise, it was great!
Kyle loved how he could walk around on the boat. Makes me a little nervous, but he does pretty good. He likes to help daddy drive. I think we are going to make lots of great memories with this boat!
We only stayed out a little over an hour. The wind was really picking up, and we had enough fun checking it out. Let's hope winter flies by and summer comes fast so we can get out on our new toy!
