Remembering 9/11

Last night Jeff and I were speaking about 9/11 and were asking the kids if they knew what happened. Kayden did know a little, that 2 planes hit a building. So we told the kids all about what happened that day and tried to explain it to them honestly, about the terrorist, without scaring them. Jack did ask a couple times if a plane would hit his school tomorrow, and if they bad guys were in jail, and if they would ever get out and come back. Luckily, no bad dreams last night. We pulled out the photo album of the pictures we took on top of the towers, our ticket stub was from 9/2/01, yes, 9 days before. I'll never forget 9/11, we were at the doctor's office finding out we were pregnant with Kayden and just thanking God that we were home safe and this didn't happen one week earlier! I even kept newspapers from back then and pulled them out for the kids to see. Brought tears back to my eyes thinking of that day. Makes you just want to hug and squeeze everyone around you and be so thankful for what you have, you never know how fast your life can change!
