Red Faced Little Boy

This picture doesn't really show the rash and bad as it really is, you can see his cheeks are a little red however. (and he can't be normal when I take a picture, but that's Jack) So, Monday Jack woke up with red dots on his cheeks. Last year he has Fifths Disease or the "slap face" look that went away after a day. So I figured that is what it was. Tuesday it was still there. Wednesday it looked worse and had moved to his forehead and eyes, including his eyelids. So this morning I called the Dr office and they said to bring him in.
Jack has always had sensitive and dry skin and the doctor said it just got irritated by something, we changed nothing at home, so it could have been being in contact with someone else who had something on them that bugged his skin. He is now on an oral antibiotic and an over the counter medicine to get it cleared up. We need to keep his face lubed up all winter long to help protect his skin as it tends to get worse in the winter. Thankfully it doesn't bug him, it doesn't itch at all and he could care less. He didn't even want to go to the doctor, he was mad because he wanted to stay home and have pancakes! The boy has priorities! I made him pancakes when we got home. The Dr says it should clear up in about 24 hours so hopefully no red face at Christmas!
