Jack's Super Mario Birthday
Jack had his friends over for a Super Mario Birthday party tonight. He has been so excited for this day, counting down the days for weeks! He invited 5 friends, but only 3 were able to come, but he didn't mind at all. Those four have as much energy as 10 kids! His friends, Adam, John, Jack and Phillip
When everyone arrived we had pizza then headed outside to play games. I had to get creative so we didn't just play Mario Brothers on the Wii as Jack originally wanted. Here is Jack playing "Pin the Mustache on Mario". Jeff is assisting with the spinning of kids. He was having too much fun with this job!
Another game was "Save Yoshi's Eggs". The kids had to safely get the eggs across the yard on a plastic spoon. I opted to use plastic Easter eggs to save the mess. Glad I did too!
Next was "Mushroom Roll" you had to help Toadstool get all the mushrooms to the other side of Mario World, or put a straw in your mouth and push a marshmallow across the yard. Yes, there were some cheaters who used their hands instead of the straw! Ha!
Next was "Cheep Cheep Balance", the flying cheep cheeps like to fly down and attack, so you had to get safely across with them on your head. The kids found this hard, a dixie cup with a little water in it, although they all think they were doing it right, every single one of them was holding on to their cups even though they say they didn't. It was so funny!
We had several more games we played too. I think they kids enjoyed them all, and the bonus was if you at least tried the game, you got a piece of candy, and the better you did the more candy you got. They all had full bags by the time the games were done. Next we headed inside for presents and cake. A MOPS friend made this cake for me. Jack was thrilled, something completely different than anyone else has every had.
As you can tell, he loves his cake! And it tasted really good too!
Time for presents!
