Today we took two of the neighbor girls with us out to the fair to do the tractor pull. This is the first year Jack could do it and we really wanted him just to try it. Kayden has never done it before but decided to since Brooklynn was also. Here the crew is waiting to get started. I guess they were all looking in the sun!

Tractor Pull
The fair is on in Cherokee and we have been having fun checking it all out. Last night we went out to watch the bull riding, but sounds like we left too soon! After the show when they were loading the bulls in the trailer, one jumped out of the fence, took off, made it out of the fair grounds, down to the ball park, into the river and about two blocks away from our house before it was caught, so it made it a long way! We never even knew until the morning when our neighbor told us about it and he was in on the chase to get it! Luckily it was about 11:30pm so not too many people were out and about!

Paige, Jack, Brooklynn and Kayden
Jack getting ready to go. Jack's downfall is he is just a couple week shy of being in the next group, so he is too tall for the tractor. He's knees were up to his chin when he peddled. But he made it almost three-fourths of the way before he stopped. He didn't care, he had fun and got a ribbon! Paige was after Jack, but got a little shy and backed out.
Kayden's turn next. She also made it about three-fourths of the way too. She was not as excited when done, I think she thought she would make it all the way and was embarrassed that she didn't. But she went right after two boys who did really well. Luckily her friend went after her and did the same she did, so I think it made her feel better. We didn't expect them to win, we just wanted them to try it. I think Jack will do it again, but I bet Kayden won't. Not her thing, which is just fine. Brooklynn also did it and did as well as Kayden. Neither of the girls really cared too much about it. Kyle on the other hand was very upset he couldn't do it. He kept saying "my turn!" He has to wait 2 years yet, then he'll be ready to go!
