What a crazy, busy week it has been here! Seems like we have been on the go since Sunday! Sunday night we had supper here since mom and dad are still in Alaska and weren't home for the Knoben Sunday night supper. Then all of us went swimming at 8pm, our church rented the pool for the night so we went and it was so much fun. We had a good turn out and it was fun to swim without the huge crowd. Monday morning the kids started Bible School at the Oakdale church about 12 miles outside of town. They were so excited to go, it is a Beach Party theme. They are having a great time and will be disappointed that tomorrow is the last day. We have been bringing the neighbor girls with, so they are having extra fun with friends too. And the neighbor girls are home all week, don't have to go to the sitter, so the kids are loving have playmates all day also. They have pretty much spent every minute together. Monday night Emily and Brooklynn spent the night here and Tuesday Kayden stayed there. They wanted a slumber party last night, but we thought we better take the night off to recoup.
Tuesday night Jeff and I headed to Carroll for the baseball game, if we won it was off to state. However at the start of the second inning, a storm rolled in. We waited for an hour until finally they called the game. So we just road tripped that night with Kristi and Charlie. The game was rescheduled for Wednesday and of course Jeff had to work and couldn't go. So Kelly, Kristi, Brock, Jack and I went and cheered on our boys. And boy did they do us proud! We won 10-2 and we are off to state again this year. So now we are off to Des Moines on Saturday. Yippie!
And lastly, mom and dad are still in Alaska. We talk to them often and they are having fun. They went on an all day boat cruise yesterday and saw some whales and a huge glacier. It was raining all day, the first time since they have been there, but it was still a good time. They have seen a lot of beautiful scenery mom said. They have been checking in on the Braves and will be heading to Des Moines with us Saturday. They hop on a plane tonight in Alaska at midnight, 3am here and will get into Omaha at 4pm tomorrow and will head home. We will all be excited to see them tomorrow night! We have missed them lots!
