Dr Appointments

Kayden and Jack had their yearly check-ups yesterday and are both good to go for 1st grade and preschool. Jack measured in a 45 lbs and 44 inches tall. He was in the 100% for both height and weight. Not a surprise to any of us. He had really thinned down a lot since last year however. He is really growing out of the chubby toddler into a little boy. He was so cute doing the eye chart, all the nurses were gathering around to watch, or should I saw, listen to him. He had to identify a star, heart, circle, hand and boat and with his accent, it was so cute. For those of you who have never heard the boy talk, you are missing out!

Kayden measure in at 47 lbs, yes just 2 pounds more than Jack, and 49 inches tall. She is just getting so tall! She has really long legs like her Aunt Kristi and cousin Karissa. I hope she gets their height too! She'll be my basketball star! Kayden had to get her blood drawn to check her thyroid and this time she didn't even want me to go in the room with her, I just stood in the doorway. She sat in the chair and didn't even make a peep! She was so proud of herself. This is the first time she has done it by herself and the first time she didn't get tears! I was so proud of her, she is getting to be such a big girl. We still had to go pick out a prize however, even though she didn't cry. I don't think she'll ever out grow wanting to do that!

And Kyle James came along, but didn't have his check-up this time. We go in September for the last round of shots and then we are clear. However we do need to go get his blood redrawn in a couple weeks as we had to change his thyroid medicine. But can you believe that he never really cries when he gets his blood drawn. So different than Kayden at that age. He just looks at them like they are an inconvenience to his day, but doesn't fuss. I probably just jinxed it for next time, but so far so good!

So knock on wood, but we are all healthy here!
