Kayden's Busy Day

What a busy day Kayden had today. This afternoon at school she had a Fine Arts Program all about birthdays. She wore a birthday crown and necklace she made in art class, and sang several songs. It was so cute and she did a great job! She even got to participate in an extra part of the program. She had to stand in front of everyone with a partner and move her feet to "Polly Put the Kettle On" and then lift the kettle at the right time. She did a wonderful job of course. We then got to see some of the art work she has done in school this year. She had fun and was glad G'pa and G'ma Waldner and G'ma Sally were able to come watch her too.
Then we headed to the gym tonight for the Braves basketball game. We went to the soup supper first and then in to watch the girls game. Kyle decided to take over G'ma Sally's chair for a while. Trust me, he didn't sit there too long, he doesn't sit still!
See, here he is trying to escape out of the bleachers to either go get a snack or run around out in the hallway! Too busy to sit and watch the game!
But at half time of the girls game we got a special treat as it was "Junior Cheerleading" night. Here are Kayden and the girls waiting for their moment to perform.
And now it's time. She did several cheers. She really knew them all well, which she should since she rarely misses a game. She did a terrific job and had lots of fun cheering!
Here she is marching to the beat. What a cutie! And when they were done with their cheers they even did a dance. It was so cute and of course, she was the best one out there! G'pa and Kyle watching Kayden perform. Kyle just stared the whole time. I couldn't tell if he was tired, or just really enjoying it! He probably knew that as soon as it was over G'pa was going to take him to get a treat so he was being good!
What a fun day for Kayden! We decided to take the kids to Omaha tomorrow to get out of town. We are going to go to the Amazing Pizza Machine and then enjoy the pool at our hotel. Nothing we have to do, just go have fun!
